In de Top 40 van 26 februari 2011 knalt Born This Way van Lady Gaga op nummer 1 de Top 40 binnen. Adele moet na 4 weken op 1 met Rolling In The Deep genoegen nemen met plaats 2. Born This Way is Lady Gaga's negende hit en achtste top 10 hit en derde nummer 1. Born This Way is de 30e nieuwe binnenkomer op nummer 1 in de geschiedenis van de Top 40.Born This Way is verkrijgbaar vanaf 11 februari 2011. De videoclip werd opgenomen in het weekend van 22 en 23 januari. De regisseur van de clip is Nick Knight. Born This Way is ook de titel van het aangekondigde derde studioalbum van Lady Gaga, die zal uitkomen op 23 mei 2011.

Lady Gaga is een pseudoniem van Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta (New York, 28 maart 1986). De naam Lady Gaga is afkomstig van het nummer Radio Ga Ga van Queen. Als kind was ze fan van Michael Jackson, Cyndi Lauper, The Beatles en The Rolling stones. Al op vierjarige leeftijd leerde ze piano spelen. Op haar dertiende schreef ze haar eerste liedje. Ze studeerde muziek aan The Tisch School Of The Arts. In 2009 scoorde Lady Gaga haar eerste twee nummer 1-hits met Just Dance (2 weken; met Colby O'Donis) en Pokerface (8 weken). Haar minst succesvolle single is Eh, Eh (Nothing Else I can Say), die bleef in 2009 steken op #12.
