Mr. Probz

Waves van Mr. Probz stijgt op 1 juni 2013 van 17 naar 9 in de tweede week notering. Het is zijn tweede Top 40-hit. De in eigen beheer uitgebrachte track is afskomstig van het nog te verschijnen debuutalbum The Treatment. Op 10 augustus 2013 stijgt de single terug de top 10 in van 11 naar 10 in de twaalfde week notering.

Mr. Probz is de artiestennaam van Dennis Princewell Stehr; een Nederlandse act van Deense en Antilliaanse afkomst uit Zoetermeer. Hij werd geboren in Amsterdam op 15 mei 1984. Hij speelde de rol van Jimmy in de Nederlandse film Bolletjes Blues. In februari 2006 kwam de Bolletjes Blues Cast samen met Negativ, Raymzter, Derenzo & Kimo de tipparade binnen. De single Welkom In Ons Leven bleef op tip 6 steken. Op 6 augustus 2010 werd Mr. Probz in Amsterdam als omstander bij een ruzie tussen twee personen in zijn buik geschoten. Met The Opposites haalde hij eerder in 2013 #11 met Sukkel Voor De Liefde.

Nielson en Miss Montreal

Nielson & Miss Montreal stijgen op 18 mei 2013 van 13 naar 10 met Hoe. Het is Nielsons 4e en haar 7e Top 40 hit. In de videoclip zijn de acteurs Martijn Lakemeier en Sigrid ten Napel te zien.

Nielson Littooij (Dordrecht, 28 december 1989) deed in 2012 mee aan De Beste Singer Songwriter van Nederland. Hij won deze wedstrijd niet, maar scoorde vervolgens wel een hit met zijn zelfgeschreven nummer Beauty En De Brains (#7 en maar liefst 33 weken in de Top 40). Op de afterparty van de finale op 27 augustus 2012 kwam het idee van een duet ter sprake en dat gebeurde met Hoe wat Nielson eerder met een andere zangeres had opgenomen.

 

Miss Montreal is de artiestennaam van Roos-Anne (Sanne) Hans, die op 22 september 1984 in Dedemsvaart geboren werd. Just A Flirt was in 2008 haar eerste hit (#11). In 2010 scoorde ze haar grootste hit tot nu toe: Being Alone At Christmas haalt dan #5.

Emeli Sandé stijgt op 18 mei 2013 van 27 naar 7 met Read All About It part III. Het is tevens haar derde hit in Nederland.

Adele Emeli Sandé werd geboren in Alford (Aberdeenshire) op 10 maart 1987. Heaven was in 2011 haar eerste hit (#23). Met Labrinth haalde ze in 2012 #16 met Beneath Your Beautiful.

Op 11 mei 2013 stijgen Pitbull en Christina Aguilera van 14 naar 8 met Feel This Moment. Het is Pitbulls 13e hit. Voor Christina is het haar 20ste notering.
In Feel This Moment zit een sample van Take On Me van A-ha (#1 in 1985). Het nummer staat op Pitbulls zevende album Global Warming.

Pitbull werd geboren als Armando Christian Pérez op 15 januari 1981 in Miami, Florida. In 2009 haalde zijn debuutsingle I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho) #1 (5 weken). In 2011 stond hij twee weken bovenaan de Top 40 met Give Me Everything (met Ne Yo, Afrojack & Nayer). 

Christina María Aguilera werd geboren op Staten Island in New York City op 18 december 1980. In 1999 scoorde ze haar eerste hit met Genie In A Bottle (#2). In 2011 behaalde ze samen met Maroon 5 haar eerste #1 hit met Moves Like Jagger (3 weken; #3 in de jaarlijst van de Top 40 en plaat van het jaar bij de Mega Top 50).

Get Lucky van Daft Punk featuring Pharell Williams & Nile Rodgers verscheen op 19 april en komt op 4 mei 2013 op 3 de Top 40 binnen. Het is hun derde hit en nu al hun grootste. In Frankrijk, Zwitserland, België en Denemarken bereikten ze al #1. De track is de voorbode voor het vierde album Random Access Memories.

Guy-Manuel en Thomas

Daft Punk is een Frans house- en electroduo bestaande uit Thomas Bangalter en Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo. Hun samenwerking begon in 1993. Hun single Da Funk haalde de tipparade in 1997 niet, maar wel #96 in de Single Top 100. Opvolger Around The World haalde #21 in 1997. One More Time haalde zowel in december 2000 als maart 2001 de Top 40. In totaal stond de single 16 weken genoteerd met #11 als hoogste notering. Na Digital Love (tip 12) in 2001 was het 12 jaar stil rond de act. Williams ontmoette de leden van Daft punk tijdens een feestje dat Madonna gaf en wilde wel meewerken aan hun nieuwe cd.

Pharrell Williams werd geboren in Virginia Beach (Virginia) op 5 april 1973. Hij behoort onder meer tot het producersduo The Neptunes en de band N*E*R*D. Hij scoorde 12 Top 40 hits, waarvan er twee de toppositie haalde: One (Your Name) stond in 2010 twee weken aan kop (met Swedish House Mafia) en samen met Robin Thicke en T.I. staat hij in de week van binnenkomst nog op 1 met Blurred Lines.

Pharell Williams en Nile Rodgers

Nile Rodgers werd geboren in New York City op 19 september 1952. Hij is een Amerikaans musicus, componist, arrangeur, gitarist en producer en was in 1976 oprichter van de Amerikaanse disco-/funkband Chic. Met Chic haalde hij 9 keer de Top 40, daarvan bereikten er 3 de top 10: Le Freak #2 in 1979, You Are Beautiful #6 in 1984 en met Jack Le Freak (Remix 'Le freak') #8 in 1987.
