Op 28 juni 2014 stijgen Ariana Grande en Iggy Azalea met Problem van 11 naar 8 in de zevende week notering. Problem is Ariana's tweede hit in Nederland nadat The Way met Mac Miller in 2013 #28 haalde.

Ariana Grande-Butera werd geboren in Boca Raton, Florida op 26 juni 1993. Ze begon haar zangcarrière in 2008. In 2013 stond ze voor het eerst in de Nederlandse hitparade. Als actrice is ze te zien als Caterina 'Cat' Hannah Valentine in de Nickelodeon-serie Victorious.

Iggy Azalea werd geboren als Amethyst Amelia Kelly in Sydney op 7 juni 1990. Ze werd bekend nadat haar nummers Pu$$y en Two Times in 2011 vaak bekeken werden op YouTube. Problem is haar eerste hit. In de Billboard Hot 100 schreef Iggy Azalea nog geen maand geleden geschiedenis toen ze zowel de eerste als de tweede plaats bezette met haar eerste twee singles Fancy en Problem. Dat hitfeit was één keer eerder voorgekomen: op 22 februari 1964 stonden the Beatles #1 met I Want To Hold Your Hand en She Loves You op 2.

Tiësto en Matthew Koma stijgen op 21 juni 2014 van 12 naar 9 in de zevende week notering. Het is zijn 18e hit in Nederland en 11e top 10 succes.
 

DJ Tiësto is de artiestennaam van Tijs Michiel Verwest (Breda, 17 januari 1969). Tijs Verwest scoorde in 1999 als Gouryella, zijn samenwerking met Ferry Corsten, zijn eerste notering in de Top 40 met 
Walhalla. De single bereikt de 35e plaats. In 2001 scoorde hij zijn eerste solohit met Flight 643 (#8). Twee keer haalde hij #2: met Traffic in 2003 en met In The Dark (met Christian Burns) in 2007. Volgens het Britse blad DJ Magazine was Tiësto van 2002 tot en met 2004 de beste dj ter wereld.
 

Matthew Koma werd geboren op 2 juni 1987 in Brooklyn, New York. Op zijn 23ste start hij als punkrocker, maar hij stapt al snel over op dance. Koma tourt mee met LMFAO, Far East Movement, Ellie Goulding en Owl City. Ondertussen krijgt de zanger ook een relatie met zangeres Carly Rae Jepsen. Zijn bijdrage aan Dare You van Hardwell leverde hem zijn eerste notering in de Top 40 op.

Dotan

Dotan stijgt op 21 juni 2014 met Home in de vijfde week notering van 19 naar 8. Home is de tweede single van zijn tweede album 7 Layers. De single stijgt plotseling snel doordat het gebruikt wordt als geluidsband bij de Oranje-successen op het WK Voetbal in Brazilië.

Dotan Harpenau werd geboren in Jeruzalem op 26 oktober 1986. Dotan is de jongste zoon van kunstschilderes Patty Harpenau. Hij groeide op in Amsterdam. In 2011 bereikte zijn single Your Town de 29ste plaats.

Sigma

Nobody To Love van Sigma stijgt op 14 juni 2014 van 18 naar 10 in de 6e week notering. In de 14e week stijgt de single terug de top 10 in van 11 naar 10.  De track bevat een sample uit Bound 2 van Kanye West (2013). Op die sample was de stem van Charlie Wilson te horen, maar die werd vervangen door de stem van een sessiezanger. De zonnige en zomerse videoclip is opgenomen in Cape Town, Zuid Afrika.

Sigma bestaat uit Cameron Edwards en Joe Lenzie, die elkaar leerden kennen op de universiteit van Leeds. Sinds 2006 werkt het duo samen. Eind 2013 verscheen hun eerste single Rudeboy, die in het Verenigd Koninkrijk de 56ste plaats bereikte. De opvolger Nobody To Love kwam op 19 april 2014 van niets op 1 binnen in de Britse hitlijst.

Tove Lo featuring Hippie Sabotage

Stay High is de eerste hit van de Zweedse zangeres Tove Lo. De track is afkomstig van haar EP Truth Serum. Op 7 juni 2014 stijgt de single van 16 naar 5 in de 3e week notering.

 

Tove Lo werd geboren als Ebba Tove Elsa Nilsson in Stockholm op 29 oktober 1987. In december 2013 scoorde Tove Lo in Denemarken met de track Habits een top 10-hit. Vervolgens maakte Hippie sabotage een remix van het nummer dat zeer populair werd op internet. Lo zette die versie 'Stay high (Hippie sabotage remix)' op haar EP. Nadat de Britse zangeres Ellie Goulding die versie op haar Instgram zette, was een hit geboren. Naast twee versies van het nummer zijn er ook drie verschillende videoclips. Tove Lo is daarin niet te zien. De dame in beeld is het fotomodel Chanelle Elise en zij siert ook de hoesfoto.

Hippie sabotage zijn twee broers uit Sacramento, Californië. In 2013 remixten ze Bravado van Lorde, maar succes voor de heren kwam met 'Stay high (Hippie sabotage remix)'. Onlangs maakten ze ook de remix van West Coast, de nieuwe single van Lana Del Rey.
