De Studio Killers stijgen op 24 december 2011 van 12 naar 9 met Ode To The Bouncer. De Studio Killers bestaan uit zangeres Cherry, toetsenist Goldie Foxx en diskjockey/muziekproducent Dyna Mink.

Studio Killers is een virtuele band, die ontstaan is in 2011. De stemmen van de geanimeerde karakters zijn van Philip Larsen uit Denemarken, Teemu Brunila uit Finland en Darren Stokes uit het Verenigd Koninkrijk. Wie welk personage vertolkt is onbekend.

Op 17 december 2011 stijgen Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa en Bruno Mars van 11 naar 10 met Young, Wïld & Free. Het is Snoop Doggs 17e hit in Nederland, de eerste voor Wiz Khalifa en de achtste voor Bruno Mars (en nummer negen staat ook al genoteerd). Op 11 februari 2012 keert de track in de 12e week notering terug in de top 10.

Snoop Dogg werd geboren als Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr. in Long Beach (Californië) op 20 oktober 1971. Oorspronkelijk was zijn artiestennaam Snoop Doggy Dogg. In die hoedanigheid scoorde hij in 1993-1994 zijn eerste hit What's My Name (#11). California Gurls met Katy Perry was in 2010 zijn grootste hit tot nu toe, die bereikte #2.

Wiz Khalifa werd geboren als Cameron Jibril Thomaz in Minot (North Dakota) op 8 september 1987. Zijn eerste single Black And Yellow bracht het tot tip 10 in het voorjaar van 2011.

Bruno Mars werd op 8 oktober 1985 op Honolulu geboren als Peter Gene Hernandez.  Just The Way You Are uit 2010 is met 11 weken 1 zijn grootste hit tot nu toe.

Ed Sheeran stijgt op 10 december 2011 in de tiende week van 12 naar 8 met The A Team. The A Team is de eerste single van het debuutalbum van de Britse singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran. De track verscheen op 11 juli 2011. Het Nederlandse hitverloop is grillig: 33 24 24 23 29 32 30 15 12 8. Op 4 februari 2012 stijgt de track wederom de top 10 in doordat Chris Hordijk in de kwartfinale van The Voice of Holland een cover brengt van de song.

Edward Christopher Sheeran werd geboren in Halifax, Verenigd Koninkrijk, op 17 februari 1991. Sheeran brak in zijn geboorteland in juni 2011 door met zijn debuutsingle The A Team, die binnenkwam op #3 in de UK Singles Chart. Opvolgers You Need Me, I Don't Need You en Lego House behaalden daar inmiddels ook al de hitparade.

Guus Meeuwis & Gers Pardoel

Op 3 november 2011 stijgen Guus Meeuwis en Gers Pardoel naar 6 met Nergens Zonder Jou. Het is Gers' vierde hit en derde top 10-succes. Het is Guus' 21ste hit en 11e top 10-notering.

Gerwin 'Gers' Pardoel werd geboren in Nijmegen op 12 mei 1981. Hij woont nu in Rotterdam. In 2009 werkte Pardoel samen met The Opposites en Sef op de track Broodje Bakpao en die track schopte het tot de tweede plaats in de Top 40. Op 14 oktober 2011 verscheen Gers' eerste album 'Deze Wereld Is Van Jou'. In november 2011 scoorde hij zijn eerste #1 hit met 'Ik Neem Je Mee' (4 weken).

Gustaaf Stephanus Modestus (Guus) Meeuwis werd geboren in Mariahout op 23 maart 1972. Guus haalde #1 met Het Is Een Nacht (Levensecht) (7 weken in 1995), Per Spoor (Kedeng Kedeng) (4 weken in 1996), Als Je Iets Kan Doen (4 weken in 2005 als onderdeel van Artiesten voor Azië), Geef Mij Je Angst (7 weken in 2005) en Tranen Gelachen (2 weken in 2007).

Birdy

Op 19 november 2011 stijgt Birdy van 14 naar 5 met Skinny Love. De song is een cover van de Amerikaanse folkgroep Bon Iver. Bon Iver nam het in 2008 op, maar behaalde er nergens de hitparade mee. Op 11 februari 2012 stijgt de track in de 15e week notering terug de top 10 in van 11 naar 9.

Birdy werd geboren op 15 mei 1996 als Jasmine Van den Bogaerde in Lymington, Hampshire. Haar moeder is concertpianiste. In 2008 won ze op 12-jarige leeftijd de muziekwedstrijd Open Mic.  Haar versie van Bon Ivers Skinny Love kwam in januari 2011 uit in het Verenigd Koninkrijk en die piekt op #17.  Haar debuutalbum Birdy verschijnt op 7 november 2011.

Op 19 november stijgt LMFAO van 12 naar 9 met Sexy And I Know It. Het is de derde single van het album Sorry For Party Rocking. De track verscheen op 16 september 2011. In de VS haalde de track #2. In Nederland is het hun vierde hit en tweede top 10-succes. Party Rock Anthem haalde eerder in 2011 #9.
Ron Jeremy, Wilmer Valderrama, Alistair Overeem, Victor Kim, Steve Terada, Ryan Conferido, Hokuto "Hok" Konishi, Ryan Feng of Quest Crew, Darren Mabee, en Simon Rex hebben een cameo in de video. Het eindshot is een tribute aan de clip Thriller van Michael Jackson.

Het duo LMFAO bestaat uit de rappers en diskjockeys Redfoo (Stefan Kendal Gordy) en SkyBlu (Skyler Gordy); respectievelijk zoon en kleinzoon van Berry Gordy, oprichter van het muzieklabel Motown. In 2009 haalde Let The Bass Kick In Miami Bitch #17, in 2010 bereikte Gettin'  Over You #21.
