Sam Smith stijgt met Stay With Me op 5 juli 2014 van 16 naar 10 in de vijfde week notering. Na La La La (met Naughty Boy) en eerder dit jaar Money On My Mind is dit zijn derde hit in Nederland. Stay With Me is afkomstig van zijn debuutalbum In The Lonely Hour. Hoewel Sam een paar weken geleden bekend maakte meer voor mannen te voelen dan voor vrouwen, maakte hij een tweede versie van Stay With Me met een vrouw: Mary J. Blige. Dat beviel goed, dus ze duiken van de zomer nog eens de studio in.

Samuel Frederick Smith werd geboren in Bishop's Stortford, Engeland op 19 mei 1992. Eerste Nederlandse hit La La La (met Naughty Boy) haalde #4 in 2013. Money On My Mind kwam in 2014 tot #32. In Vlaanderen brak hij al in 2012 door met Latch (met Disclosure).

La La La van Naughty Boy starring Sam Smith stijgt op 22 juni 2013 van 13 naar 9.
In het Verenigd Koninkrijk was het al een #1.
De track is afkomstig van het nog te verschijnen album Hotel Cabana. Op dat album zal ook het nummer Hollywood komen te staan en dat is een duet met Gabrielle die in 1993 een #6 hit had met Dreams (44 in de jaarlijst).


Naughty Boy werd geboren als Shahid Khan in Watford op 1 januari 1985. Hij produceerde eerder vele nummers op het album Our Version Of Events van Emeli Sandé. Daarnaast schreef hij ook nog nummers voor onder andere Rihanna en Leona Lewis.

Sam Smith scoorde eerder een hitje me Latch (met Disclosure; #80 in maart 2013 in de Single Top 100). Smith werd geboren in Londen op 19 mei 1992. Hij verzorgde het voorprogramma van de Britse tournee van Emeli Sandé.
