Asaf Avidan & the Mojos

Op 25 augustus 2012 maakt Asaf Avidan & the Mojos in de tweede week een reuzensprong van 24 naar 1 met One Day (Reckoning Song) in de Wankelmut remix. Al 6 jaar lang timmerde Asaf Avidan aan de weg, maar de remix van de Duitse house- en techno-dj Wankelmut (Jacob Dilßner) zorgt voor zijn doorbraak. Het origineel van One Day stamt uit 2008.

Asaf Avidan werd geboren in Jeruzalem op 23 maart 1980. Zijn ouders waren diplomaten voor het Israëlische Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken. Zijn kinderjaren bracht hij door op Jamaica. Na zijn dienstplicht in Israël studeerde hij aan de Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Israël. Na zijn studie verhuisde hij naar Tel Aviv en werkte daar als animator. Sinds 2006 is hij frontman van de folkrock-band Asaf Avidan & The Mojos. The Mojos bestaan uit bassist Ran Nir, drummer Yoni Sheleg, gitarist Roi Peled en cellospeler Hadas Kleinman. De band bracht tot nu toe drie albums uit.
