Simple Plan is een Canadese punkband uit Montréal opgericht in 1999. De groep bestaat uit leadzanger Pierre Bouvier, drummer Chuck Comeau, bassistDavid Desrosiers, gitarist Sébastien Lefebvre en gitarist Jeff Stinco. In 2005 haalden ze voor het eerst de tipparade met Shut Up! In 2005 bereikte Welcome To My Life #26 en een jaar later was Untitled (How Could This Happen To Me?) #36. Your Love Is A Lie was in 2008 goed voor #17 en Jet Lag piekte in 2011 op 19 met vocale steun van Natasha Bedingfield. Op het album Get Your Heart On van Simple Plan staat als track 8 Summer Paradise, maar dan met K'naan in plaats van Sean Paul.

Sean Paul Ryan Francis Henriques werd geboren in St. Andrew op 9 januari 1973. In 2002 scoorde hij zijn eerste Nederlandse hit met Gimme The Light (#336). In 2003 stond hij een week bovenaan met Get Busy. Vanaf april 2006 tot september 2011 had hij 5 flops op rij, maar met Got 2 Luv U, met hulp van Alexis Jordan, was 6 het begin van een succesvollere periode.
