Avicii stijgt met The Days op 1 november 2014 in de derde week notering van 11 naar 10. Het nummer, waarop de vocalen van Robbie Williams te horen zijn, is de voorloper van zijn nieuwe album dat in 2015 zal verschijnen.

Tim Bergling (Stockholm, 8 september 1989) scoorde in ons land als Tim Berg zijn eerste hit. Bromance staat in de zomer van 2010 maar liefst 21 weken in de Top 40 en bereikte de tweede plaats. Ook scoort hij als Tom Hangs een top-10 hit met Blessed (#9 in 2011). Daarna scoort hij onder de naam Avicii. Wake Me Up, waarop Aloe Blacc de vocalen voor zijn rekening neemt, stond in 2013 maar liefst 11 weken op de eerste plaats van de Top 40. Ook de opvolger, Hey Brother, bereikt de hoogste positie in de Top 40. Ook Addicted To You werde een hit, maar Lay Me Down, waarop ook Nile Rodgers en Adam Lambert te horen zijn, flopt.
Avicii staat in zowel 2012 als 2013 in de wereldwijde DJ Top 100 van DJ Magazine op de derde plaats.

A Sky Full Of Stars van Coldplay stijgt op 31 mei 2014 van 14 naar 8. Het is hun 19e Top 40-hit.
De track is de derde van het album Ghost Stories. Magic en Midnight (inclusief Giorgio remix) gingen het nummer voor. Op A Sky Full Of Stars is medeproducent Avicii op piano te horen, maar hij krijgt daar geen credit voor. Volgens overlevering vertelde zanger Chris Martin zijn bandleden aanvankelijk niet eens dat Avicii het pianogedeelte had ingespeeld in plaats van hijzelf.

Coldplay werd in 1996 in Londen opgericht. De leden zijn zanger Chris Martin, gitarist Jonny Buckland, drummer Will Champion en bassist Guy Berryman. Yellow was in Nederland in 2000 hun eerste singlefeit: tip 11. Opvolger Trouble haalde #38. In 2005 stond Talk 4 weken bovenaan de hitlijst en in 2008 deed Viva La Vida hetzelfde maar dan 3 weken. Maar liefst 18 van hun tracks staan in de Radio 2 Top 2000 met Clocks op 12 als hoogste in de editie van 2013.

Avicii

Avicii stijgt op 1 maart 2014 met Addicted To You van 13 naar 7 in de derde week notering. Zijn nummer één-hit van vorig jaar Hey Brother staat deze week nog altijd op 15.

Een van de vier componisten is de 72-jarige Amerikaanse countryzanger Mac Davis. Davis schreef eind jaren ’60 hits voor Elvis Presley (A Little Less Conversation, In The Ghetto). In 2013 maakte Davis als zanger een comeback op het Ultra Music Festival in Miami. Daar zong hij bij een optreden van Avicii de track Wake Me Up en dat werd een wereldhit nadat het heropgenomen was met Aloe Blacc als zanger.

Audra Mae (29) uit Oklahama is de zangeres van dienst. Zij is de achter-achternicht van zangeres/actrice Judy Garland. Audra Mae bracht in 2010 haar debuutalbum uit, maar schreef bijvoorbeeld ook al nummers voor de Duitse Eurovisie-deelneemster Lena Meyer-Landrut en voor Britain’s Got Talent-ster Susan Boyle.

Op 2 november 2013 stijgt Avicii met Hey Brother van 13 naar 6 in de derde week notering. Het is zijn 13e hit in de Top 40. Hey Brother is de derde single van het album True. Het nummer is ingezongen door de zanger Dan Tyminski. In Oostenrijk, Noorwegen en Zweden stond de track al op 1.


Avicii is de artiestennaam van Tim Bergling, die op 8 september 1989 in Stockholm geboren werd. Hij brak in 2010 door met Bromance (#2). Eerder in 2013 stond Wake Me Up! 11 weken aan de top van de Top 40. 

Daniel John "Dan" Tyminski werd geboren op 20 juni 1967 in Rutland, Vermont. Hij is bandlid van Alison Krauss and Union Station. In 2010 was hij te horen op een andere samenwerking: What Have I Done van LeAnn Rimes.

Wake Me Up! van Avicii met Aloe Blacc komt op 29 juni 2013 op 8 de Top 40 binnen.
Ondanks negatieve reacties op het nummer bij de première op het Ultra Music Festival in Miami wordt het nummer wel een hit en wel zijn elfde in Nederland.

Avicii is de artiestennaam van Tim Bergling (Stockholm, 8 september 1989), een Zweedse dj, remixer en muziekproducent. Hij is ook bekend als Tim Berg en Tom Hangs. In 2010 scoorde hij zijn eerste en tot nu toe grootste hit met Bromance (#2). In 2011 haalde Levels #4.


Aloe Blacc werd geboren in Orange County, Californië op 8 juni 1979.  Aloe Blacc is in de Verenigde Staten vooral bekend van het televisieprogramma How To Make It In America, waarvoor zijn hit I Need A Dollar werd gebruikt als introtune. In Nederland haalde de track de tipparade niet, nummer 53 in de Single Top 100 werd gehaald in 2010. In de Ultratop 50 stond de single 2 weken op #1.
