Op 20 september 2014 stijgt Shower van Becky G van 13 naar 10 in de vijfde week notering. Shower is haar eerste single, die afkomstig is van haar debuutalbum.

Rebecca Marie Gomez wordt op 2 maart 1997 geboren in Inglewood, Verenigde Staten. Ze start haar muzikale loopbaan in meidengroepjes. In 2011 valt ze op nadat ze een aantal mixen van bekende hits op YouTube zet. Het resulteert in een platencontract bij Kemosabe, waarna ze de gelegenheid krijgt om samen te werken met verschillende acts waaronder Ke$ha, Wiz Khalifa, en Will.I.Am. In 2014 staat ze in het voorprogramma van Katy Perry tijdens een deel van haar Amerikaanse tournee.
